When a video won’t download
A failed download is almost never random. Five causes explain nearly every failure across every tube site — login walls, geo-blocks, DRM, malformed links and still-processing uploads — and most have a fix.

Step by step
- Cause 1 — the post is private or login-walled. No downloader can fetch it; only the uploader’s own export can.
- Cause 2 — the link is malformed. Re-copy it from the finished post’s share button, not from a chat forward or a draft.
- Cause 3 — the video is still processing. New uploads serve low quality first; wait and fetch again for the full set.
- Cause 4 — the site restricts streams to its own app or paying members. That restriction is the answer, not a bug.
- Cause 5 — the file is enormous (multi-hour VODs). Download a lower quality, or a trimmed section after fetching the info.
Tips from people who do this a lot
- If a video plays in a private/incognito browser window without logging in, a downloader can almost always fetch it. That is the fastest self-test.
- Geo-blocked videos fail from some regions and work from others; availability is the host’s decision.
- A video that was deleted mid-session is simply gone — no cache trick survives it, whatever other sites claim.
FAQ
The site says "could not fetch" but the video is public — why?
Some hosts rate-limit or challenge server IPs. Wait a few minutes and retry with a fresh copy of the share link; persistent blocks are the host defending itself, and every downloader hits them.
Can any tool download DRM-protected streams?
No — paid streaming services encrypt their catalogues, and breaking that is neither offered nor legal. This toolbox is for public, lawful downloads.
Is this really free?
Yes — every tool on this site is free. A short ad before your download is what pays the server bills, so nothing needs a paywall or an account.
